Two of our Research IT experts gave a presentation at the recent “R at University of Manchester” (R.U.M.), an R User group open to all staff and students using R at The University of Manchester with regular meetings on the first Monday of each month.
The presentation from David Mawdsley (Research Software Engineering) and Pen Richardson (Research Infrastructure and Platforms) focused on using R on the university HPC resources including the Central Shared Facility (CSF). They highlighted which types of R jobs could benefit most from using HPC and what training Research IT provide to help people get started with both R and HPC.
