The popular conference, Computing Insight UK (CIUK), returns with the main theme of “Research Computing Delivers” and also be four sub-themes of “Career paths – service provision roles”, “Working with industry”, Applications science” and “Data science”. Students who are interested in attending can submit a poster abstract which, if accepted, will grant them free registration to the event.
The conference will take place on the 12th – 13th Dec at Manchester Central and consists of two full days of presentations and talks running alongside an exhibition of the latest technologies from the leading hardware and software developers and resellers, an exhibitor forum and a series of breakout sessions.
Applications for the student poster competition are now open. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, all forms of advances in high performance computing (HPC), storage, networking and big data analysis.
Successful applicants will be invited to display their posters during the two days of the event with a dedicated poster session scheduled for the evening of Wednesday 12 December immediately following our keynote presentation.
A panel of judges will select their winning poster during this session with an announcement made on the afternoon of Thursday 13 December. Registration fees will be waived for all students selected to present posters during the event.
