The popular conference, Computing Insight UK (CIUK), returns to Manchester again in December with the main theme of “Computing the Future”. Students who are interested in attending can submit a poster abstract which, if accepted, will grant them free registration to the event including the CIUK exhibition and full programme of presentations and breakout sessions.
The conference will take place on the 5th – 6th Dec at Manchester Central and consists of two full days of presentations and talks running alongside an exhibition of the latest technologies from the leading hardware and software developers and resellers, an exhibitor forum and a series of breakout sessions.
The first day will focus on “Computing Today” with sessions on “Cloud Computing Today”, “Software Development Today” and “Data Science – Convergence of AI and HPC”. The second day will look at “Computing Tomorrow and Into the Future” with sessions on “Hardware Towards Exascale”, “Software Development Towards Exascale” and “Quantum Computing”.
Applications for the student poster competition are now open. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, all forms of advances in high performance computing, storage, networking, big data analysis, quantum computing, exascale, and software development.
A panel of judges will select their winning poster with an announcement made on the main stage before the final session on the afternoon of Friday 6 December.
The deadline for abstracts is Fri 25th October. Please see the CIUK conference website for full details.
